Americana Mythica: Outlaws!
A downloadable TTRPG
Saddle Up for Songs and Showdowns
In the untamed landscape of Americana Mythica, legends are born over whiskey shots and ballads echo louder than gunfire. You'll walk the line between law and legend, crafting tales spun from grit, ghosts, and guitars.
Adventure Awaits on Roads Less Traveled
Step into a world carved from folklore and Americana. Forge your path as drifter musicians and outlaw heroes, each story leaving its mark across wild territories. Whether you're trading riddles with spirits at the crossroads, charming your way out of trouble, or outrunning marshals down moonlit highways, your journey will resonate through the ages.
Gamblin', Glory, and the Devil's Luck
Life’s greatest moments come down to a roll of the dice and the guts to bet big. Navigate showdowns with your sharpest wits and sweetest notes, push your luck until it bends—or breaks—and carve your name into legend. With themes ranging from redemption to rebellion and mechanics that let every gambler and storyteller shine, no two journeys will ever be the same.
Gather your posse, tune your instruments, and ante up. Every gamble could end in glory, every story in a song worth singing long after the sun sets.

I was going through the rules, and I’ve already found an issue with character creation.
For Themes, it’s said that each is ranked 0 to 5. However, unlike Traits (which lists 10 points can be distributed, with each having a “starting cap” of 3), Themes don’t have a number of points to distribute.
Does this mean each Outlaw starts out with 0 in every Theme (and has to level up during play), or is there a process of spreading points across Themes that isn’t in the book?
Aw. I see the confusion. I could have written that more clearly.
Each Theme is ranked from 0 to 5; one is Rank 0, a second is Rank 1, a third is Rank 2, and so on.
I've updated the PDF to rewrite the sections on themes to read:

Hopefully, that's clearer.
